To the left: speaking at the opening for the NCWCA show at the Village Theatre Gallery in Danville, CA. I stand in front of my image Mardi Gras. I am displaying a book I created. And yes, I am a bit of a cowgirl. I own a gray gelding named Skimmel.

Who Am IExistentialism aside, I am an artist residing in Oakland, CA. I create jewelry inspired from sources such as Southwest Indian designs and other sources. I work with cyanotypes and other alternative photography as well as teach these media. I make digital images as well. I have a long time association with Kala Art Institute, the Women's Caucus for Art and local art organizations. I find it gratifying and important to be involved.

My HistoryBorn and raised in Wisconsin, I moved to the Bay area nearly 20 years ago. I took my B.A. degree in Political Science and French and then a M.F. A. in Costume Design in Theatre from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. I worked in professional theatre before pursuing my photography full time. My fascination with human ornament remained and I began to make jewelry.
